The Reverend Doctor Gretchen Woods

Gretchen Woods The Rev. Dr. Gretchen Woods is serving her seventh year as Senior Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis and in her twenty-second year of ministry. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA; a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from John Carroll University in University Heights, OH; and a Doctor of Ministry, focusing upon building healthy spiritual communities, from Northwest Theological Union (now the Ecumenical Institute of Seattle University) in Seattle, WA. She previously served at the Kitsap Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Bremerton, WA (1985-1992) and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reston, VA (1992-1999). An avid musician, she helped co-found Confluence: the Willamette Valley GALA Mixed Chorus in 2000. She enjoys reading sci-fi and fantasy and teaching UU students for ministry, both at Seattle University and Marylhurst College. She lives with her life companion, Judy Finholm, with whom she shares six children and two grandchildren, and two huskies, Shagaluk and Cordy.
